Westbourne Library Friends and Community Payback give park a facelift

Broomhill park south entrance has recieved a make over thanks to the Westbourne library friends and the Ipswich Community Payback team. Garath Jones chairman of the friends said  “The area before was a bit over grown and need a good tidy. The area is now much admired by the dog owners and walkers that use the path on to the park our thanks to the community payback team for there superb work”.

******Breaking news*** Westbourne Library secures Grade 2 listing

The Friends of Westbourne Library  are pleased to announce that following an application for listing The Secetary of state for culture media and sport has awarded Westbourne Library a Grade 2 listing. Chairman of the Friends of Westbourne Library Garath Jones said  ” We are absolutly thrilled with the decision”.

 

 

 

 

Ipswich Mayor to visit Westbourne library

The Mayor of Ipswich will be visiting Westbourne library on Wednesday the 17th of  October at 11am. The  mayor is visiting the library to hear more about the new exciting community project where the library will be going out to schools and community centres to teach both adults and children literacy and numeracy.

The westbourne Library friends will be holding there first AGM on the 12th of October 2012 at 19:30 at Westbourne Library. See you there!!!
